Beyond ESG Reporting and Strategy - Towards ESG Execution (5 November 2024)
With effect from 1 January, 2025 the HKEX ESG reporting code requires listed companies to disclose climate related matters in phases around governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets. Beyond ESG reporting and strategy, the focus is now on executing the ESG strategy and embed sustainability into day to day operations. This workshop serves as an introduction to our upcoming ESG strategy design and execution training workshop series, where you will learn about frameworks to develop your ESG implementation roadmap.

Ms Linda W P Ho, Chief Executive Officer of the Green Council
Linda has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Green Council since 2000, a non-profit environmental organisation and certification body with the mission of promoting sustainable development and environmental awareness in the business sector and among the general public through various initiatives and awareness programmes. She has also actively participated in United Nations and other international conferences, workshops, and lectures, presenting speeches on ecolabelling, sustainable procurement and topics related to ESG.
Currently, Linda is a member of the Advisory Council on the Environment and Advisory Committee on Water Supplies in Hong Kong and the Asia Carbon Footprint Network. She was a former member of the Energy Advisory Committee and the Food Wise Hong Kong Steering Committee. Additionally, she was a former board member of the Global Ecolabelling Network.
Prof. Lapman Lee, Professor of Practice (ESG, Fintech and Sustainable Finance) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Lapman is a climate change and corporate sustainability expert and a professor of practice (ESG, FinTech, Sustainable Finance) at the Polytechnic University where he is a convenor of its Center for Sustainability (CESEF). Lapman provides governance, risk management and sustainability training to Boards and senior management of listed companies. He was a former Deloitte Advisory Partner and Chairs an ESG Committee.
Ms Olivia Wong, General Manager - Environmental & Social Responsibility of MTR Corporation Ltd
Olivia is the General Manager - Environmental & Social Responsibility at MTR Corporation Ltd and is responsible for formulating and implementing clear and effective strategies in achieving MTR's social and environmental objectives and in championing the corporation's ESG efforts and commitments.
Prior to joining MTR, Olivia spent 30+ years with the Swire group in different business units including Cathay Pacific and Swire Properties. Her last role in John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd was the Group Head of Diversity & Inclusion, a role that was created in August 2018. She developed a coherent diversity and inclusion (“D&I”) strategy and aligned D&I initiatives across the Swire Group.
Olivia was Director of HR & Administration at Swire Properties Ltd. Before that she was General Manager - Leadership Development at John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd and Managing Director at Ethos International Ltd, with responsibility for recruiting and fostering talent for the Swire Group. She joined Cathay Pacific as management trainee in 1988 and had almost 20 years of broad management experience in Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Europe. Olivia graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She also has an MBA from the University of Michigan. Olivia has been a resolute volunteer with Habitat for Humanity since 2005. She currently serves as the Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong and as a director on their international board.
Ms Judy Ho, Public Affairs and Communications - Sustainability Manager of Swire Coca-Cola HK
Judy is an accomplished sustainability professional with a diverse background in sustainable development, climate action, circular economy, and environmental consultancy. Currently serving as the Sustainability Manager at Swire Coca-Cola HK, Judy is responsible for driving sustainability programs and decarbonisation actions in the Hong Kong market, in line with the Swire Coca-Cola 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy.
Prior to her role at Swire, Judy held the position of Senior Technical Climate Action Advisor at World Vision International, the largest international for-purpose organisation. In this role, she provided high-quality technical assistance in strategy and program design, focusing on securing financing solutions in areas such as environment, climate change, resilience, livelihoods, and economic development. Judy’s expertise extends to environmental and strategy consultancy, where she led efforts in strategy development and sustainable financing with multilateral agencies. She has also played a leadership role in implementing waste management and climate change projects across the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to her professional roles, Judy holds an important position as an appointed member of the Environment and Conservation Fund Committee by the Chief Executive of HKSAR. In this capacity, she offers valuable advice on the appropriate utilisation of the fund. Furthermore, Judy has been appointed as a member of The Food Wise Hong Kong Steering Committee and the Advisory Committee on Recycling Fund by the Environment and Ecology Bureau. Through these appointments, she lends her expertise and provides guidance on initiatives related to food waste reduction and recycling in Hong Kong.
Mr. Jasper Chan, Senior ESG Manager of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas)
Jasper is the Assistant General Manager - ESG at Towngas. He focuses on formulating and driving the overall ESG strategy of the Group’s diversified businesses, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to improve ESG performance. He is a Chartered Engineer in both HK and the UK, and Professional Member of The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, The Energy Institute, The Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers.
